a not so new years resolution :)

OK so everyone starts off the new year with all these goals that rarely get met and ideas that never get fulfilled... I don't wanna do that this year.. First off I wanna say what I'm grateful for from the year 2010 and then what I've learned from 2010 mistakes that will lead to a better more enlightened 2011...
#1. I am grateful for the way 2010 started. It started off with new life! We found out I was pregnant with Piper just a few days after ringing in the new year.. It was such a great start..
#2. Clint and I celebrated our 4th year of marriage.. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man.
#3. My amazing son Brody turned 2 in July.. Man how time flies!! He is such a blessing..
#4. After a medically and emotionally stressful pregnancy, our beautiful baby girl was born in August.. God answered our prayers and she is healthy and amazing..
#5. Our family is complete.. I am so grateful to have a healthy happy boy and girl..
#6. my great friends!! The friends 2010 brought me and my old life long friends.. Without you all my life would be sad :)
#7. My family.. They are so supportive and loving.. They are the best!!
#8. Last but not least my husbands job promotion.. God answered our prayers once more by giving him job and financial security.. We are so so blessed!!
.... Now for some mistakes that I have learned and will grow from.. This is the hard stuff, admitting fault and mistakes..
#1. debt.. It's a dark gross pit that you have to pull yourself out of slowly but surely.. It's an ugly lesson to be learned..
#2.. losing friendships. :( it's sad, awful, devastating!! I have learned the hard way how important friendship is.. To be honest to trust and to support each other.. Sometimes being honest hurts but true friends make it through.. I miss some friendships very very much but I have learned to accept and move on.. It's all part of learning who you and the type of people you want in your life....
#3. fatness!! Ugh.. Eating fattening food is amazing at the time.. But it's not so great when it begins to settle on your arse!! So I have learned I need a healthier life style.. That is for sure happening in 2011!!
So for 2011 I'll be doing simple things.. taking care of my babies, loving my husband, appreciating my family, counting my blessings, and living a healthier lifestyle... Sounds perfect to me!!!
                                               Happy New Years!!

Princess Piper :)

                        Meet Piper Kay Lin..

We just love her!! :)... When we found out we were having a girl we were sooooo excited! I mean how perfect?! A boy and a girl!! My pregnancy with her was very different than Brody's.. I was sick sick sick for the first 5 months.. Just when things started looking better my amniotic fluid was low and I was put on a high risk pregnancy routine.. Scary!! I went to the doctor every 2 weeks until 8 months and then every week.. then came the early labor! I went into labor at 32 weeks.. I was having contractions that were not stopping.. I was terrified.. All I could think about was keeping this baby safe.. So we did bed rest and medication for the next 5 weeks until it was safe to deliver her.. She was born August 30th.. 16 days before her due date.. And she was perfect!! Tiny, but perfect.. At a whopping 5lbs 14oz Piper came screaming into our lives.. Clint, myself and brother Brody were so excited for her to finally be here.. Well Brody was a little unsure. He said he wanted a sucker instead of a sister.. Priorities of a 2 year old:)..  Her and Brody are almost 26 months apart.. They look alot alike but are very different.. She is VERY particular!!! She has to have things her way. Typical girl..She refuses a binky :(  Brody loved his binky.. She will giggle and smile at you all day!! She's so happy.. She hates her car seat. Which sucks because I love to go places.. Since she is only 3 months her personality isn't shining through yet.. But as each day goes by she changes and grows.. We are so blessed. Not only to have a boy and a girl but that they are both healthy and happy!! I can't wait to see what the future days with my babies bring. Don't get me wrong, I love babies but the older they get the more fun they are!! Brody just talks and talks and does the funniest things.. I just love the toddler stage.. I cant wait to hear what my little Miss has to say and what she'll do.. So for now that's all about Piper Poo.. She is a healthy, happy baby girl.. :) I just love my family.. We are now complete!! :)

The Toddler , The Legend

             Meet Brody....
He was born July 17th 2008.. Best day ever!! I'll keep the details of how I became prego with Brody to a minimum :)(I know you appreciate that).. But Clint and I decided we wanted to start trying to have a baby on November 1st 2007.. I found out I was pregnant Nov 23rd!!! We were shocked at how fast I got pregnant but not that I was pregnant... It was so funny actually!! Clint came home from hunting and I had been keeping this secret from him all day... He walked in the door and I told him I was pregnant!! He said how?! Show me the test!... He thought I was joking I guess... But I wasn't!!! :).. So 9 months and 31 lbs later  here was Brody!!! It was so easy!! The pregnancy, the labor  everything!! Brody was a great baby.. Very happy.. Just didn't wanna sleep.. That was a nightmare.. But now he is a wonderful sleeper so its ok...We think Brody is amazing.. As does every parent about their child.. It's just insane how much you can love somebody.. The cycle is interesting... You love your parents more than anything, you love your toys more than anything, you love your first boyfriend more than anything.. Then just when you think the love you have for your spouse is the greatest love you'll have this beautiful life is put in your arms... And here's this feeling that you've never had flooding over you and you don't even know how to explain it!!! It's amazing..I stopped working once I had Brody.. I just couldn't part with him.. There can be struggling times but its all worth it!! I love being a stay at home mom! My husband works hard and it pays off! I have got to see all the special first moments...
Brody loves his Sissy.. sometimes :)... As sweet as Brody is , he's still 2 and doesn't like sharing his momma and dadda.. But he try's very hard.. He gives her kisses and hugs that are more like chokes but its sweet!! Brody is rotten... Like the type of rotten that you can see all over his face... You can tell when he's up to something. It's funny.. He loves fish sticks but thinks it's chicken. I tell him its fish but he doesn't believe me. Thinks he needs a Popsicle every 30 minutes (he doesn't get one) His newest thing is Christmas. If he see's light's, gifts, wrapping paper, trees and Santa he says "Dat's Chrrrristmas".. He draws out the R and says it with this funny accent.. He's a goose!! Anyway, that's my mister and we love him very much!!

From Me to We...

I wanna talk about L*o*v*e.. I love love....So I wanna tell you how I met my husband Clint... It's not a fairy tale by any means but everyone has their own love story to tell.... We aren't perfect. Never have been and never will be... Our relationship is a work in progress and anyone that says different about their relationship is a dang lie!! :).. Anyway, our meeting is no amazing story.. Except to me of course... We met in college, in the cafeteria...boring I know.. It wasn't love at first site but definitely interest.. Now everyone has  wild oats to sew and things to prove but we had what I would call a fairly normal college relationship.. We were young, hungover and in love :p.. There were ups and downs for a few years before deciding to take a "break".. Ahhh the infamous break that so many of us experience... Well this "break" made US!! It wasn't until this 4 month break that we really fell in love.. And this is when our fairytale truely began... We did things umm a little backwards.. But not too backwards.. We resumed our relationship with sparks.. moved into together, got engaged, moved to Muskogee and got hitched!!! Since the I Do's it has been somewhat marital bliss.. I'm still very much in love with Clint.. Our marriage is a daily effort that has many rewards... He is the perfect fit for me.. I am messy, hotheaded, spoiled and prissy while he is neat, soft spoken, very unselfish and very outdoors!.. He balances me out.... With every trial, hiccup, and stresses we have it seems to make us stronger.. I am very blessed... And we all know what happens after marriage.... Babies!!!!...And you know I'm gonna tell you all about them!! :)

Blogging? Me?

I'm super new to this whole blog thing.. But people seem to be doing it with ease so I'll give it a whirl!! I started doing this thinking blogging might be theraputic for me, writing seems to soothe the soul..... I am a stay at home mom and as much as I love talking to my toddler and infant, they dont give much feedback :) I also love to talk about my kids and myself :) so blogging will be a great way to do that!! LOL.. I am not an English major so dont expect perfect spelling, punctuation or words that are in the dictionary.. I tend to speak my own language sometimes... I titled this The Frilly Tractor because I have a 2 year old son(I'll get to him soon) and I also have an infant daughter (I will get to her soon) and because this city girl will soon(in a few years) be living life on "the farm" (which I will also get to soon :).. So I went from boy boy and more boy to pink pink and more pink!! It's a big change to say the least... My life is pretty normal but rarely a dull moment.. Hopefully in doing this blog I will make you laugh, cry and get a glimpse into my life(if you want to of course) and maybe make some new friends along the way with great advice to give.. Because it really does take a village to raise kids and I'm open to suggestions :)... Anyway, maybe I sparked your interest and if so there will be more to come soon!!! ~luv~
